Life at Clarence Lodge

Being in a care home isn't the end of someone's life, they are simply embarking on a new journey, where they feel cared for, safe, protected and supported.

People living at Clarence Lodge are encouraged to continue to lead their lives that are as full and rewarding as possible. By getting to know as much as possible about residents we're able to tailor activities to their personal interests. So if going to Church on a Sunday morning was a regular highlight, then we'll make sure they continue to enjoy it. Equally, if reading a newspaper or magazine was a daily must, we'll make sure they happen to.

In addition with personal interests and hobbies that we are able to cater for, staff oversees a programme of engaging group activities. This might include cooking, craft work, chair exercises or gardening. It may also involve a trip to the beach or gorleston town centre. However if a session doesn't grab somone's interest they are free to do something else that is more to their liking.

Our staff also make sure they spend time with people who don't like to participate in organised or group activities. This ensures that they remain engaged and an important part of our community.

Activities also on offer include:

        Balloon Volley Ball
        Family History Research
        Manicures & Hand Massages
        Theme Days
        Reminiscence Therapy
        and much more.........................
